2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device & Account Linking

  • Random User ID or device token

  • No advertising identifiers (no IDFA or AAID)

Attribution (Privacy-Preserving)

  • Apple SKAdNetwork (iOS)

  • Google Privacy Sandbox (Android, when available)

These provide anonymous, aggregated campaign data only.

App Usage

2.3 Sensor Data for Sleep Companion Mode

To enable sleep tracking, we request access to:

  • Microphone

  • Motion sensors (accelerometer)

Your Privacy Guarantee

  • Raw audio is processed only on your device

  • We do not record, store, or upload conversations

  • Only derived sleep metrics are sent (e.g., sleep duration)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data only to:

  • Deliver core features (sync progress and partner activity)

  • Power AI personalization and character responses

  • Improve performance and fix bugs

  • Send service notifications (like “Kuku is hungry”)

  • Detect fraud and abuse

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We never sell your data.

We share information only in the situations below.

4.1 With Your Linked Partner (Core Feature)

By connecting with another user, you explicitly agree to share:

  • Online, offline, or sleeping status

  • Sleep duration and wake times

  • Shared quiz results and AI insights

  • In-game activity (feeding Kuku, etc.)

4.2 With Trusted Service Providers

We work with vetted partners who process data securely:

Cloud Hosting – Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Analytics – Mixpanel (de-identified & aggregated only)

AI Providers – LLM services (not used to train public models)

Payments – Apple & Google (we never store card data)

4.3 Legal & Business Situations

We may share data if:

  • required by law or safety obligations

  • involved in a merger or acquisition
